The Velvet Revolution in Jicin and Surroundings

Abstract:

Práce popisuje hlavní události během převratu 1989, které probíhaly v Jičíně a jeho okolí. Použity byly kvalitativní metody výzkumu, jako je technika analýzy místního dobového tisku v exponovaném období a také technika rozhovorů s pamětníky v místě bydliště. Tato práce si klade za cíl zjištění nových poznatků a reflexi událostí u respondentů i v dobovém tisku. Studentka předpokládá jednak zjištění deskriptivní, jednak hodnotová, ve směru očekávání a pozdějšího hodnocení realizace výsledků sametové revoluce, případně zjištění diferencí v reflexi oficiální a lidové. Též se pokusí zjistit jaké byly další osudy některých tehdejších aktérů. Tato zjištění by pravděpodobně mohla být důležitá a zajímavá pro místní historii a politické povědomí.

Abstract:

The thesis describes the main events during the coup of 1989 which took place in Jičín and its surroundings. There were used the qualitative research methods, such as techniques of analysis of period local press and also the techniques of interviews with witnesses at the place of residence. This thesis aims at finding new knowledge and reflection on the events of the respondents and in the period press. Student assumes both descriptive findings and the value ones, in the direction of the expectations and later evaluation of the implementation of the Velvet Revolution, where appropriate, the findings of differences in reflection official and popular. It also tries to determine what the fates of some actors were then. These findings could probably be important and interesting for the local history and political awareness.
