How rural seniors envisage their self-realization at the beginning retirement

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem přechodu z aktivního pracovního života do penze a klade si za cíl zodpovědět otázku: Jaké jsou představy venkovských seniorů na prahu penze o jejich seberalizaci? Práce je rozdělena na tři části, v první, teoretické části jsou vymezeny klíčové pojmy: stárnutí a stáří, senior a venkovský senior, práh penze jako životní situace a představy o seberealizaci. Druhá část zdůvodňuje volbu kvalitativního výzkumu a popisuje jeho realizaci. Třetí část analyzuje a interpretuje 6 rozhovorů s lidmi, kteří mají před odchodem do důchodu nebo jsou několik měsíců v penzi. Závěrem práce je zjištění, že představy venkovských seniorů, vycházející z jejich hodnot, potřeb a přání, jsou spíše rámcové, a zaměřené více na přítomnost. Všichni dotázaní si přejí být zdraví, aktivní a cestovat, rádi pracují na zahradě a všichni dávají vysokou hodnotu vztahům. Z odpovědí vyplývá, že dotázaní nevidí svoji roli pro společnost. Svou identitu mají spojenou spíše s činnostmi než rolemi a smysl vidí v sebepřesahující aktivitě pro druhé. Nijak se neangažují v rámci širší komunity, ale deklarují ochotu, kdyby je někdo oslovil přímo.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the transition from working life to retirement and aims to answer the question: What are the concepts of rural seniors on the verge of retirement about their self-realization? The work is divided into three parts, the first, theoretical part defines key terms: aging and old age, senior and rural senior, retirement threshold as living situation and ideas of self-realization. The second part gives reasons of the qualitative research and describes its implementation. The third section analyzes and interprets 6 interviews with people who have before retirement or are retired several months. Finally, work is the finding that the concepts of rural seniors, based on their values, needs and wishes, are rather generally, and more focused on the present. All respondents wish to be healthy, active and to travel, they love working in the garden and the interpersonal relations have a high importance for them. The answers indicate that respondents do not see themselves role for the society. Their identity is associated with activities, rather than the role. The sense of life they see as doing good things for others. Does not engage any activity within of the wider community, but declared they would be willing, if someone is addressed directly themselvs.
