ONBOARDING SYSTEM IN THE SELECTED COMPANY

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na důkladnou analýzu a optimalizaci procesu onboardingu nových zaměstnanců v organizaci. Cílem je identifikovat klíčové nedostatky stávajícího procesu začleňování nových pracovníků a na základě zjištěných poznatků navrhnout efektivní doporučení pro jeho zlepšení. V teoretické části je onboarding představen jako komplexní proces zahrnující nejen adaptaci nových zaměstnanců na pracovní prostředí a jejich pracovní role, ale také integraci do firemní kultury a vytváření mezilidských vztahů. Je zdůrazněna rovněž důležitost přednástupní fáze a specifické adaptace na různé pracovní pozice. Praktická část práce představuje vybranou organizaci a zkoumá její stávající onboardingové procesy pomocí obsahové analýzy interních dokumentů, participativního pozorování, případové studie a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s klíčovými aktéry v procesu adaptace. Návrhová část nabízí soubor doporučení, která cílí na zlepšení efektivity onboardingového procesu, včetně zavedení digitalizovaných adaptačních plánů, implementace systému mentoringu, vytvoření metrik pro hodnocení účinnosti onboardingových aktivit, aktualizace příručky pro zaměstnance a implementace pomocníků a manuálů pro úspěšný onboarding. Tyto návrhy jsou podloženy pečlivou analýzou potřeb organizace a zaměstnanců. Výsledky práce poukazují na zásadní význam pečlivě plánovaného a prováděného onboardingového procesu pro zajištění úspěšné adaptace nových zaměstnanců, snížení fluktuace a podporu dlouhodobého rozvoje organizace. Diplomová práce poskytuje ucelený pohled na problematiku adaptace nových zaměstnanců a představuje ucelený rámec efektivního řešení ve vybrané organizaci.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a thorough analysis and optimization of the onboarding process of new employees in the organization. The aim is to identify the key shortcomings of the current onboarding process and, based on the findings, to propose effective recommendations for its improvement. In the theoretical part, onboarding is presented as a complex process involving not only the adaptation of new employees to the work environment and their job roles, but also integration into the corporate culture and the creation of interpersonal relationships. The importance of the pre-hire phase and specific adaptation to different job roles is also highlighted. The practical part of the thesis introduces the selected organisation and examines its current onboarding processes through content analysis of internal documents, participant observation, a case study and semi-structured interviews with key actors in the adaptation process. The design section offers a set of recommendations that aim to improve the effectiveness of the onboarding process, including the introduction of digitized onboarding plans, the implementation of a mentoring system, the creation of metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding activities, the updating of the employee handbook, and the implementation of job aids and manuals for successful onboarding. These suggestions are supported by a careful analysis of organizational and employee needs. The results of the work point to the critical importance of a carefully planned and executed onboarding process to ensure successful onboarding of new employees, reduce turnover, and support long-term organizational development. The thesis provides a comprehensive view of the issue of new employee onboarding and presents a coherent framework for an effective solution in the selected organization.
