Bakalárska práca je zameraná na význam existencie obchodného registra, jeho charakter, procesné hľadisko a povahu. Práca obsahuje najdôležitejšie zákony a ich prelomové, úpravy, ktoré najvýraznejšoe ovplyvnili hmotno-právnu úpravu a proces konania v obchodnom registri, priebeh procesu od návrhu na zápis až po zápis, ako i sankcionovanie pri nedodržaní obligatórnych náležitostí.
