Tourism participants' perception of UNESCO sites and their motivation to visit them

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou návštěvnosti památek UNESCO. Hlavním cílem je prozkoumání motivace účastníků cestovního ruchu k návštěvě památek. Dílčím cílem je navržení nových aktivit k posílení návštěvnosti památek v Praze s možností využití i na ostatní památky UNESCO v České republice. V práci je proveden kvantitativní výzkum, který je doplněn strukturovaným rozhovorem kvalitativního typu. Dále jsou zde předloženy čtyři hypotézy, kde výzkumem byly 3 z nich potvrzeny a jedna byla vyvrácena. Z výsledků vyhodnocení výzkumného šetření je na závěr předloženo 7 doporučení pro zvýšení návštěvnosti výše zmíněných památek.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of visitor numbers to UNESCO sites. The main objective is to explore the motivation of tourism participants to visit the sites. A sub-objective is to propose new activities to enhance visitor attendance at the monuments in Prague with the possibility of applying to other UNESCO sites in the Czech Republic. This thesis conducts quantitative research, which is complemented by a structured qualitative interview. Furthermore, four hypotheses are presented. Where 3 of them were confirmed, and the research refuted one. The research evaluation results present seven recommendations for increasing the visitation to the monuments mentioned above at the end.
