Changes of the self-concept in the context of Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor

Abstract:

V centru zájmu dizertační práce stojí klienti s následky diskrepancí v sebepojetí a deficitů v naplňování základních vývojových potřeb. Pozornost je soustředěna především k úzkostné a depresivní symptomatice a k možnostem změn v oblasti sebepojetí. V tomto kontextu je cílem dizertační práce představit a analyzovat Pesso Boyden psychomotorickou terapii jako funkční model a přispět k rozšíření pohledu na možnosti ovlivňování sebepojetí. Ve výzkumném šetření je cíl práce specifikován do zjištění reflexe změn sebepojetí u klientů s úzkostně depresivní symptomatikou z pohledu PBSP terapeutů. Konkrétně byl zvláštní zřetel věnován vybraným symptomům, které korespondují s projevy diskrepancí v sebepojetí a s následky deficitů v naplňování potřeb. K výzkumu bylo použito kvalitativní výzkumné strategie. Metodou sběru byly hloubkové rozhovory a kazuistiky. Analýza dat byla inspirována Spradleyho teorií domén, pro část orientovanou kazuisticky byla zvolena narativní rekonstrukce klientova příběhu a data byla analyzována za využití kategorií narativní rekonstrukce. Kombinace těchto metod přinesla komplexnější pohled na změny sebepojetí a umožnila zohlednit osobní historii jedince – tedy bylo možno přinést informace o utváření sebepojetí v rámci interagování s významnými druhými v rámci rodiny a dále ozřejmit/představit podrobněji změny sebepojetí v kontinuálním pojetí PBSP u konkrétních klientů. Z rozhovorů s PBSP terapeuty vyplynulo následující. Klienti, kteří vykazují úzkostnou a depresivní symptomatologii v kontextu diskrepancí v sebepojetí či na základě deficitů v naplňování základních vývojových potřeb, přichází nejčastěji s obecnou zakázkou úlevy od obtíží, další část klientely blíže specifikuje prožitky méněcennosti, neschopnosti, nízké sebedůvěry, prožitky nejistoty, viny, pokles energie, neschopnost prožívat radost, pocity neschopnosti kontrolovat vlastní život. Často je přítomna neschopnost navazovat a pěstovat mezilidské vztahy a tendence vyžadovat saturaci základních vývojových potřeb od náhradních subjektů (např. partnerů). Na poli intervencí, resp. elementů, principů a postupů, které jsou v PBSP využívány a jež jsou efektivní pro změny sebepojetí, informanti referovali o otevřené sféře možností, sycení/držení/podporování pilota, technice micro-trackingu, nabídce opaků, záložek a ideálních postav, diagnostice a práci s mezerami v rolích, specificích práce s přenosovými mechanismy. Pro změny sebepojetí svědčí především symbolický zážitek saturace základních vývojových potřeb, který se odehrává ve scénicko-symbolickém prostoru terapeutického sezení – struktury. Jde o zážitek nové verze interakcí s blízkými osobami (rodičovské osoby, významní druzí) na emocionální, kognitivní a fyzické úrovni. Na neurobiologické úrovni jsou tyto zážitky a zkušenosti z interakce se symbolickými ideálními figurami integrovány jako alternativní záznamy implicitní emocionální i explicitní procedurální paměti. Závěrem jsme na základě zjištěných výsledků oprávněni konstatovat, že terapeutický přístup PBSP dokáže cíleně usměrňovat změny v sebepojetí směrem k zvyšování sebehodnocení, sebeakceptace, sebedůvěry, sebevědomí, korekci obrazu sebe sama a seberegulace ve smyslu kongruence prožívání a jednání. Na symbolické úrovni je zde zprostředkována interakce s významnými druhými, která umožňuje zážitek souladu osobních vlastností s osobními vodítky.

Abstract:

In the centre of interest of this dissertation are clients with the results of discrepancy in self-concept and deficits in fulfilment of basic developmental needs. Attention is focused mainly on anxiety and depressive symptomatology and on the possibilities of changes in the field of the self-concept. In this context the aim of this dissertation work is to introduce and analyse Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor as a functional model and therefore contribute to the wider view on the possibilities of influencing the self-concept. The research survey represents the aim of work what is specified in findings of reflections of changes of the self-concept at clients with anxiety depressive symptoms from the view of PBSP´s therapists. There has been a special attention devoted to selected symptoms which correspond with the display of discrepancy in self-concept and with the results in deficits of meeting the needs. A qualitative research strategy has been used in the research. The method for data collection was represented by interviews and casuistry. The data analysis had been inspired by Spradley´s domain theory and a narrative reconstruction of the client´s story for the part oriented in case reviews and data has been analysed with the use of categories of narrative reconstruction. The combination of these methods has brought a complex view on the changes of self-concept and has enabled the personal history of the individual to be taken into an account – thus it was possible to bring information about the formation of self-concept within the integration of significant others within the family and furthermore to elucidate/introduce detailed changes in the self-concept in the continuous concept of PBSP for specific clients. The interviews with PBSP´s therapists resulted in the following. Clients who show any anxiety and depressive symptomatology in the context of discrepancy in self-concept or based on deficits in meeting the basic developmental needs come mostly with a common request to get a relief from difficulties. Another part of clients closely specify feelings of inferiority, inability, low self-esteem, feelings of insecurity, blame, decrease of energy, inability to experience pleasure and feelings of worthlessness to control own life. The inability to maintain and to build interpersonal relationships and the tendency to require saturation of basic developmental needs from replacement subjects (e.g. partners) are very often presented. In the field of interventions, resp. elements, principles and procedures which are used in PBSP and which are effective for the changes of self-concept, the informants reported about an open sphere of possibilities, pilot´s saturation/holding/support, micro-tracking, offers of reversals, bookmarks and ideal figures, diagnostics and work with the holes in roles, specific work with transmission mechanisms. For the changes in self-concept is mainly evident a symbolic experience of saturation of basic developmental needs which takes place in scenic-symbolic space of a therapeutic session – structure. Regarding experience of a new version of interaction with close persons (parental persons, significant others) on emotional, cognitive and physical level. As far as neurological level is concerned these experiences and knowledge from the interaction of symbolic ideal figures are integrated as alternative records of implicit emotional and also explicit procedural memory. In the conclusion we are entitled to say based on the findings of the results that the therapeutic approach of PBSP can specifically regulate changes in the self-concept towards increasing of self-evaluation, self-acceptance, self-confidence and correction of a picture of oneself and self-regulation in the sense of congruence of perception and manners. Interaction with significant others has been conveyed on a symbolic level which enables a compliance of experience of personal characteristics with personal guidelines.
