Abstract:
Na počátku 19. století přetrvával v Plzni tradicí zakořeněný charakter vždy věrného města. V rámci tohoto kurzu přijímala západočeská metropole veškerá vládní ustanovení, v otázkách mimoregionálního dění zachovávala poněkud letargický postoj a podléhala postupné germanizaci. A notion of always faithful Pilsen (to the Habsburg dynasty) lasted in this metropolis of West Bohemia, even at the beginning of the 18th century. Because of that, Pilsen accepted all government decrees and maintained quite a lethargic attitude in the question of Bohemian politics.
