The Importance of Dietary Measures in Patients with Chronic Kidney Failure

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je význam dietních opatření u pacientů s chronickým selháváním ledvin. V teoretické části se zmiňuji o anatomii a fyziologii ledvin, uvádím definice a rozdělení renální insuficience se zaměřením na chronickou renální insuficienci, její diagnostiku a léčbu a zaměřuji se zejména na konzervativní léčení chronické renální insuficience a dietní režimy u nemocných se sníženou funkcí a selháváním ledvin. Ve výzkumné části zpracovávám informace, které jsem získala metodou dotazníku. Zajímá mne zejména, jak jsou pacienti informováni o dietních opatřeních, zda znají jejich význam, zda je dodržují a zda si tito pacienti uvědomují vliv dietních opatření na možný vznik komplikací spojených s chronickým selháváním ledvin.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis discusses the importance of the dietary approach in chronic kidney failure patients. The theoretical part mentions the human kidney anatomy and physiology, referring to renal insufficiency definitions and classification, emphasizing the chronic kidney failure, its diagnosis and treatment, attention being drawn namely to conservative therapy of the chronic renal insufficiency and dietary regimens in patients with renal dysfunction or renal failure. The research part deals with the information that I have collected via a questionnaire method. I am mostly interested in the patients´ awareness of the dietary measures, knowledge of their significance, whether they stick to a diet or whether they are aware of the importance of dietary measures and potential complications associated with chronic kidney failure.
