Mnohočetný myelom (MM) je nevyléčitelné zhoubné onemocnění způsobené maligní transformací B-lymfocytů, jejich klonální proliferací a diferenciací v plazmatické buňky, které se akumulují v kostní dřeni. V plazmatických (myelomových) buňkách se v průběhu vývoje onemocnění akumuluje řada genetických změn. Abstract:
Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable malignant disease of terminal developmental stages of B-lymphocytes, i.e. plasma cells. During the progress of the disease genetic changes are cumulated in these cells which are the cause of their fully malignant phenotype.
