Startup and its financing with an emphasis on the Series A investment round

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem diplomové práce je startup a jeho financování s důrazem na investiční kolo Series A. Cílem této diplomové práce je posoudit aktuální možné zdroje financování startupu, definovat jejich specifika, seznámit s jednotlivými investičními koly a v neposlední řadě s potřebnou dokumentací k získání investice pro startup. První kapitola teoretické části se věnuje pojmu Startup. Druhá kapitola se zabývá investičními koly a na ní navazuje kapitola o zdrojích financování startupu. V praktické části je nejprve představena společnost Spaceflow a její úspěšné kolo Seed. Dále se práce zabývá zhodnocením aktuálního stavu trhu PropTech a společnosti Spaceflow, na základě čehož je zhodnocena připravenost společnosti Spaceflow pro získání investičního kola Series A. V poslední části je popsán doporučený postup autora diplomové práce pro získání této investice.

Abstract:

The main topic of the diploma thesis is startup and its financing with emphasis on the investment round Series A. The aim of this thesis is to assess the current possible sources of financing the startup, define their specifics, get acquainted with individual investment rounds and last but not least with the necessary documentation to obtain an investment for a startup. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals with the concept of Startup. The second chapter deals with investment rounds and is followed by a chapter on sources of startup financing. The practical part first introduces the company Spaceflow and its successful investment round Seed. Furthermore, the work deals with the evaluation of the current state of the market PropTech and Spaceflow, based on which the readiness of Spaceflow to obtain a Series A investment round is evaluated. The last part describes the recommended procedure of the author of the diploma thesis for obtaining this investment.
