Abstract:

Diplomová práce Linguistic (and Methodological) Aspects of English Nursery Rhymes se zabývá jazykovou analýzou anglických dětských říkanek. Analýza je založena na korpusu, který obsahuje anglické dětské říkanky, a který byl vytvořen konkrétně pro potřeby této práce. Říkanky budou analyzovány z jazykového hlediska s důrazem na úrovně jazykové analýzy (grafická, fonetická, lexikální, gramatická, diskursivní a pragmatická). Kromě jazykové analýzy se práce zabývá klasifikací říkanek, zmiňuje také souvislost s kulturou a historií a jedna kapitola je věnována metodologickým aspektům říkanek vycházejících z jazykové analýzy. Teoretický základ je v praktické části doplněn o podrobnou analýzu a příklady vycházející z korpusu.

Abstract:

The thesis Linguistic (and Methodological) Aspects of English Nursery Rhymes is a linguistic analysis of children’s English nursery rhymes. The analysis is based on a corpus with nursery rhymes which was created specifically for the purpose of this thesis. The rhymes are to be analysed from the linguistic point of view, with the emphasis on levels of language analysis (graphical, phonetic, lexical, grammatical, discourse and pragmatics). Apart from the language analysis, the thesis deals with classification of nursery rhymes, mentions the connection to culture and history, and one chapter is dedicated to methodological aspects of rhymes resulting from the language analysis. The theoretical background is in the practical part supported by detailed analysis and examples taken from the corpus.
