Personal qualities required for the profession of social worker

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je teoretická a zabývá se osobnostními předpoklady, kterými by měl sociální pracovník disponovat. Pomocí studia odborné literatury v první části práce je definován pojem osobnost, struktura osobnosti a jsou popsány vybrané typologie osobnosti. Druhá část se věnuje vymezení sociální práce, jejímu vývoji, principy a požadavky na pracovníka. V poslední kapitole jsou pomocí typologie osobnosti a profesiogramů porovnány osobní charakteristiky jednotlivých typů osobností s nároky, které jednotlivé pozice v profesi sociální práce na jedince kladou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is theoretical and it focuses on what personal attributes a social worker should have. The thesis defines the concept of personality, its structure and typologies in the first part through the research of specialized literature. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to defining social work, its development, principals and requirements for social workers. The last chapter of the thesis compares personal attributes of individual types of personalities with demands which are required by specific job titles in social work through personal typologies and profesiographs.
