Testing of electronic systems in a vehicle

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá testováním elektronických systémů používaných v automobilech. V úvodní části jsou zmíněny některé základní pojmy testování a přehled druhů testování a používaných metod. Následuje popis procesu vývoje elektronických řídicích systémů a princip testování hardware ve smyčce, tzv. HiL testování. Dále jsou uvedeny základní pojmy týkající se modelování dynamických systémů, které se uplatňuje při HiL testování. V další části pak následuje přehled elektronických řídicích systémů automobilů a podrobnější popis řídicích jednotek klimatizace a centrálního zamykání, vybraných pro implementaci HiL testování. Pro testování jsou zapotřebí vhodné technické prostředky. Je zde tedy rovněž popis některých dostupných prostředků, včetně struktury vybraného testovacího systému, a další programové nástroje související s procesem testování. V rámci implementace HiL testování pro zmíněné řídicí jednotky byly vytvořeny modely, jejichž popis je rovněž uveden.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the testing of electronic systems used in automotive applications. In the introduction the author discusses the basic issues of testing and the main testing methods. This is followed by a description of a rapid prototyping process for fast electronic systems development and the hardware in a loop (HiL) testing. The next chapter presents the basic concept of dynamic systems modelling to be applied during HiL testing process. Structures of electronic control systems used in modern vehicles are also briefly mentioned. Special emphasis is put on objects of testing ? the electronic control units for air conditioning and central locking with focus on their inputs, outputs and functions. Suitable technical equipment is needed for HiL testing implementation. An overview of suitable equipment and the structure of selected testing system are presented. Further software tools dealing with the HiL testing process are also mentioned. A description of created environment models for mentioned control units are also included.
