Abstract:

Úrazy jsou v České republice, tak jako v jiných vyspělých zemích, nejčastější příčinou úmrtí dětí a dospělých do 40 let a třetí nejčastější příčinou úmrtí v celé populaci. Význam vzdělávání rodičů v otázkách ochrany dětí před úrazy souvisí přímo především s mírou úrazovosti dětí ve věku 0 – 6 let. Nejvyšší procento úrazů v domácím prostředí u dětí tohoto věku předurčuje cestu edukace rodičů jako zásadní pro možnost ovlivnění bezpečnosti domácností a bezpečného chování rodičů i dětí. Vysoká úrazovost dětí v České republice souvisí především s přetrvávajícím neosobním pojetím zdraví, s nízkou odpovědností jednotlivce za zdraví své, případně za zdraví svého dítěte. Odráží se v ní také nejistota současných rodičů v otázkách výchovy a péče o dítě. Ve své práci jsem se snažila určit, z jakých zdrojů rodiče v České republice mohou čerpat informace o prevenci úrazů u dětí, jak jsou tyto zdroje kvalitní a jaký efekt má vzdělávání rodičů na úrazovost jejich dětí. Výsledkem práce je aktuální přehled preventivních aktivit v České republice, jež určuje i míru informovanosti rodičů v této problematice. Dále zhodnocení kvality rodiči preferovaného zdroje informací v péči o dítě – knih pro rodiče – z hlediska obsahu preventivně – úrazových informací. A v neposlední řadě potvrzení efektu edukativní intervence na změnu postojů a úroveň znalostí v prevenci dětských úrazů u rodičů dětí ve věku 0 – 6 let.

Abstract:

Accidents are in the Czech Republic, as well as in other developed countries, the most common cause of death in children and adults under 40 years of age and the third leading cause of death in the whole population. The importance of parental education on issues of protecting children from injuries is directly related to the accident rate particularly of children aged 0-6 years. The highest percentage of accidents of children of this age group occur at home which clearly determines the path of education of parents as essential in influencing household safety and safe behavior of parents and children. The high accident rate of children in the Czech Republic is mainly related to persistent impersonal conception of health, low individual responsibility of people for their health and for the health of their children. It also reflects the uncertainty of current parents in questions of upbringing and care of children. In my thesis I am trying to determine the available sources on the prevention of injuries in children in the Czech Republic, the quality of these sources and to study what effect has the parental education on their children's injuries. The outcome of my work is up-to-date list of preventive activities in the Czech Republic which determines the level of awareness of parents on this issue. Further result is the evaluation of the quality of the parents-preferred sources of information on childcare - in terms of content of information on accident prevention. Finally, I have studied the effect of educational interventions on the change of parents’ attitude and knowledge of injury prevention of children aged 0-6 years.
