The diploma thesis is focused on historical and political development of Spiš region until now under the influence of surrounding areas (Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic). Práca sa zaoberá historicko-kultúrnym vývojom regiónu Spiš až do súčasnosti pod vplyvom okolitých krajín (Poľsko, Uhorsko/Maďarsko a Česko). Práca tiež poukazuje na jazykovú situáciu na Slovensku, tzn. na vývoj slovenského spisovného jazyka a slovenských nárečí.
