History of musical culture of České Budějovice in the 2nd half of the 19th century
Abstract:
Tato magisterská diplomová práce přibližuje hudební život v Českých Budějovicích především ve 2. polovině 19. století. Zaměřuje se na vznik, vývoj a aktivitu pěveckých spolků, které se významně podílely na kulturním dění města. Z hlediska vnitřního uspořádání se práce dělí na čtyři základní kapitoly zužující se z obecných souvislostí až po místní specifika.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis approaches musical life in České Budějovice particularly in the 2nd half of the 19th century. It focuses on the creation, development and activity of music associations which significantly contributed to the cultural activities of the city. In terms of the internal arrangement, the work is divided into four main chapters tapering from general context to the local specificities.
