Etching and Contemplation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je koncipována jako teoreticko-pedagogický projekt, jenž ilustruje předmět zkoumání a sice volnou grafiku a její výuku na českých středních uměleckých školách v rámci oboru Grafický design. První okruh teoretické části se věnuje klasickým grafickým technikám, k nimž je vždy doplněn jeden český autor-grafik 20. nebo 21. století příznačný pro danou techniku. Druhý okruh teoretické části rozebírá prostor vytýčený volné i užité grafice v České republice, jedná se o soutěžní přehlídky, sympózia a výstavní prostor. Obě tyto kapitoly jsou tvořeny s ohledem na možnosti žáků Grafického designu. Třetí poslední kapitola uvádí praktickou část diplomové práce a věnuje se výuce grafických uměleckých technik v rámci studia Grafického designu. Praktická část je zpracována v podobě metodického materiálu akvatinty a vrcholí jejím workshopem na Střední uměleckoprůmyslové škole v Bechyni.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is conceived as a theoretical and pedagogical project, which illustrates the subject of research, namely free graphics and its teaching at Czech secondary art schools in the field of Graphic Design. The first part of the theoretical part is devoted to classical graphic techniques, to which one Czech author-graphic artist of the 20th or 21st century, characteristic of the given technique, is always added. The second round of the theoretical part analyzes the space set out in free and applied graphics in the Czech Republic, these are competition shows, symposia and exhibition space. Both of these chapters are created with regard to the possibilities of graphic design students. The third and last chapter presents the practical part of the diploma thesis and deals with the teaching of graphic art techniques in the study of graphic design. The practical part is processed in the form of methodical material aquatint and culminates in its workshop at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Bechyně
