Data preparation for creating of plant alkaloids structure database

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se věnuji vyhledávání molekul účinných látek rostlin a přípravě dat pro vytvoření databáze těchto látek. Konkrétně jsem využila informace z primárních zdrojů, spojující názvy rostlin a účinných látek a poté doplnila další informace o těchto látkách. Příslušnými informacemi byla ID látek v databázích malých molekul, jejich unikátní identifikátor (CAS number) a jejich 3D struktura. Na závěr práce jsem provedla vizualizaci získaných molekul pomocí molekulového cloudu a pomocí scaffold tree. Vizualizace ukázaly, že databáze je robustní a jsou v ní zastoupeny molekuly významných typů alkaloidů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to search for molecules of active substances of plants and preparation of data to create a database of these substances. Specifically, I used information from primary sources, connecting names of plants and active substances and then I added more information on these substances. This information was ID of substances in databases of small molecules, their unique identifier (CAS number) and their 3D structure. At the end of the thesis I performed a visualization of acquired molecules using a molecular cloud and a scaffold tree. Visualizations showed that the database is robust and contains molecules of important types of alkaloids.
