Phase equilibria in the systems containing intermetrallic phases

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci se věnujeme problematice výpočtů fázových rovnovah pod pokojovou teplotou. V rámci studia je provedeno rozšíření údajů Gibbsových energií z databáze čistých složek (The SGTE Pure Elements Database) vytvořené konsorciem SGTE (Scientific Group Thermodata Europe), publikované v práci Alan Dinsdale [1], až k 0 K [2]. K rozšíření je použit Einsteinův model Gibbsovy energie pro ideální krystal s využitím Debyeových teplot při teplotě nula Kelvin [3; 4]. Dále je v práci proveden rozbor fázového diagramu soustavy V Zr, publikovaného v práci Zhao [5] a výpočet rozšíření tohoto fázového diagramu až k 0 K s využitím výsledků ab-initio výpočtů Gibbsových energií koncových členů Lavesovy fáze V2Zr [5]. K předpovědi fázových diagramů je používán program Thermo-Calc a termodynamické údaje z SGTE databáze [1] a databáze rozšířených dat z SGTE databáze [2].

Abstract:

In this thesis we devoted our effort to calculations of phase equilibria below room temperature. The study provides the elaboration of the extension of the Gibbs energy data from The SGTE Pure Elements Database, created by a consortium SGTE (Scientific Thermodata Group Europe) and published in a paper by Alan Dinsdale [1], to 0 K [2]. The Einstein model of the Gibbs energy of an ideal crystal is used for the extension using the Debye temperatures at zero Kelvin [3, 4]. The phase diagram of Zr-V system calculation, published in a paper by Zhao [3], is performed further in this work and the extension of the phase diagram to 0 K is calculated using the ab-initio calculation results of Gibbs energies of Laves phase V2Zr end-members [3]. For prediction of phase diagrams, the software Thermo-Calc and thermodynamic data from the SGTE database [1] and extended data from SGTE database [2] are used.
