Hand held antenatal record in midwifery practice

Abstract:

Porodní asistentky v České republice čekají na takovou těhotenskou průkazku, která by ve větší míře zohlednila jejich kompetenci vést těhotenskou poradnu, umožnila dostatek prostoru pro záznam této péče a poskytla těhotným ženám praktické informace o těhotenství, porodu, šestinedělí a péči o dítě. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tvorbou nové těhotenské průkazky s edukačním materiálem odpovídající potřebám porodních asistentek, studentek porodní asistence a těhotných žen. K tvorbě návrhu průkazky bylo zvoleno studium částí odborné literatury zabývající se zdravotnickou dokumentací včetně těhotenské průkazky, dále analýza českých a zahraničních těhotenských průkazek a edukačních materiálů pro nastávající rodiče, a výzkum mezi porodními asistentkami, studentkami porodní asistence a těhotnými ženami zaměřený na mapování potřeb těchto skupin. Analýza zahraničních průkazek a edukačních materiálů přinesla zajímavá zjištění a inspiraci pro tvorbu. Taktéž výzkumné šetření mezi dotazovanými skupinami. Napříč kapitolami praktické části práce je popsán průběh tvorby návrhu na základě analýzy vybraných českých a zahraničních průkazek a edukačních materiálů a na podkladu interpretace výsledků výzkumu. Zmíněn je také následný průběh vzniku průkazky. V diskuzi je sepsán návrh možného rozvoje průkazky do budoucna a v závěru shrnutí práce s nejzajímavějšími částmi výzkumu.

Abstract:

Midwives in the Czech Republic are waiting for a hand held antenatal record that would take greater account of their competence to lead an antenatal clinic. It would also give enough space to record such care, and provide pregnant women with practical information on pregnancy, childbirth, the puerperium and child care. This bachelor's thesis focuses on creating a new hand held antenatal record with educational material corresponding to the needs of midwives, midwifery students and pregnant women. To create a design for the record, the author studied parts of professional literature dealing with medical documentation including hand held antenatal records, analyzed Czech and foreign hand held antenatal records and educational materials for expectant parents. She also carried out research among midwives, midwifery students and pregnant women with a focus on mapping the needs of these groups. The analysis of foreign hand held antenatal records and educational materials brought interesting findings and inspiration for the design, as did the survey research among the interviewed groups. Throughout the practical chapters of the thesis, the author describes the course of the creation of the design based on the analysis of selected Czech and foreign records and educational materials and on the basis of the interpretation of the research results. The subsequent course of the creation of the record is also mentioned. In the discussion, a proposal of possible development of the record for the future is described, while the conclusion contains a summary of the work with the most interesting parts of the research.
