Estimation of parameters of multidimensional Student's distribution
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá mnohorozměrným Studentovým t-rozdělením, stručně pojednává o jeho historii, definici a souvislosti s třídou elipticky vrstevnicových rozdělení. Hlavní část pojednává o odhadech jeho parametrů, jmenovitě parametru polohy, variability a stupňů volnosti, s použitím metod maximální věrohodnosti, metody momentů a EM algoritmu a jeho rozšíření.
Abstract:
This master thesis is dealing with multivariate Students t-distribution, very shortly about its history, definition, its corresponding with eliptically contoured distribution. Main part is about estimation of its parameters, namely estimation of location, scale and degrees of freedom parameter, using method of maximum likelihood, method of moments and EM algorithm and its extentions.
