Managerial competencies necessary for hotel management

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zpracovává téma manažerských kompetencí nezbytných k řízení hotelu. Cílem je identifikovat manažerské kompetence nezbytné k řízení hotelu a dále navrhnout doporučení pro formální a neformální vzdělávání manažerů. Teoretická část se zabývá definováním pojmů manažer a detailním rozborem osobnosti manažera. Poté důkladně rozebírá manažerské kompetence a na závěr teoretické části je pojednáno o hotelovém managementu, jeho strukturách a jednotlivých úrovních, a to vše s využitím odborné literatury. V úvodu analytické části této práce se pojednává o analýze dotazníkového šetření, které proběhlo. Dále jsou v analytické části nashromážděná data krátce shrnuta, vyhodnocena, je provedeno ověření hypotéz. Výsledky, které byly získány, jsou následně využity v návrhové části. Návrhová část pracuje s informacemi z analytické části a částečně i z části teoretické a předkládá nejprve doporučení pro formální a neformální vzdělávání manažerů a následně nejdůležitější manažerské kompetence.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the managerial competences necessary for managing the hotel. The purpose is to identify the managerial competencies necessary to manage the hotel and to propose recommendations for formal and informal training of managers. The theoretical part deals with defining the terms manager and detailed analysis of the manager's personality. Afterwards, it discusses managerial competencies thoroughly and at the end of the theoretical part it discusses about hotel management, structures and individual levels, and all with using specialized literature. In the introduction of practical part this dissertation is discussed the analysis of questionnaire survey, which was. Furthermore, in the analytical part, the accumulated data are briefly summarized, evaluated, verified hypotheses, and the results are then used in the proposal part. The design part works with information from the analytical part and partly from the theoretical part and firstly presents recommendations for formal and informal training of managers and consequently the most important managerial competencies.
