Informal care from the perspective of parents of long-term ill children

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá neformální péčí z pohledu rodičů dlouhodobě nemocných dětí. Cílem diplomové práce je skrze teoretická východiska a výzkum rodinných pečujících zjistit, jak nahlíží rodič na kvalitu svého života při neformální péči o dlouhodobě nemocné dítě. Teoretická část vymezuje základní termíny, představuje aspekty související s narozením postiženého dítěte do rodiny a dlouhodobé rodinné péče o něj. Dále rozvádí prvky systému zdravotně-sociální pomoci. Výzkumná část se pomocí kvalitativní metody polo-strukturovaného rozhovoru věnuje zjištění subjektivní kvality života rodičů u dlouhodobě nemocných dětí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with informal care from the point of view of parents of long-term sick children. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out, through theoretical background and research of family carers, how a parent views the quality of their life in informal care for a long-term sick child. The theoretical part defines the basic terms, presents aspects related to the birth of a disabled child into the family and long-term family care for him. It also elaborates on the elements of the health and social assistance system. The research part uses a qualitative method of semi-structured interview to determine the subjective quality of life of parents in long-term sick children.
