Tato práce se zabývá životem a zejména pak dílem syrské spisovatelky Ghády as-Sammán. Jádro práce tvoří důkladná obsahová analýza vybraných děl z autorčiny tvorby - povídkových sbírek Tvé oči jsou můj osud a Odchod od starých přístavů a dále románovou trilogií Bejrút 75, Noční můry Bejrútu a Noc první miliardy. This work deals with the life and especially with the work of the Syrian writer Ghada al-Samman. The core of the work is a content analysis of selected works from the author's work - short stories Your eyes are my destiny and Leaving the old harbours, as well as the novel trilogy Beirut 75, Beirut Nightmares and Night of the First Billion.
