Comparison of Central Banks in Member States with EU Accession in 2007 and 2013

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na komparaci centrálních bank zemí vstoupivších do EU v letech 2007 a 2013 z dvou různých hledisek. Zvolenými hledisky jsou organizační struktura příslušných centrálních bank a míra plnění maastrichtských konvergenčních kritérií v zemích komparovaných centrálních bank. První část se soustředí na obecné definování daného tématu. Je věnována právní úpravě centrálního bankovnictví, centrální bance a jejím funkcím, vzniku a vývoji centrálního bankovnictví, cílům centrálních bank a cenové stabilitě a v neposlední řadě také společným principům centrálních bank včetně nezávislosti. Dále je zde věnován prostor Evropské centrální bance jakožto nejdůležitější evropské instituci v měnové oblasti. Zvláštní část práce se zabývá již samotnou komparací vybraných centrálních bank z dvou výše zmíněných hledisek.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the comparison of the Central Banks of the countries which entered into EU in 2007 and 2013. The comparison is from two different perspectives - the organizational structure of the Central Banks and the degree of fulfillment of the Maastricht Convergence Criteria in the countries where the Central Banks seat. The first part is focused on general definition of the topic. It deals with the european central banking legislation, Central Bank and its function, the emergence and development of the central banking, the goals of central bank and price stability as well as the common principles of Central Banks including independence. It also concentrate on the European Central Bank, the most important european institution in the monetary area. The special part of the thesis is the comparison of the relevant Central Banks from two perspectives mentioned above.
