The aim of this master thesis is to define in general way the position of co-operative financial institutions (credit union etc.) on the territory of former Czechoslovak Republic in the period 1918-1938 and to characterize their importace, mainly on the principle of comparison with the bank sphere alternatively with the sphere of saving banks.
