Reflection of social workers failed interventions to the life situation of families with children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na reflexi nezdařených intervencí do životní situace rodin s dětmi. Cílem práce je zjistit, co sociální pracovníci považují za nezdařenou intervenci a jak takové intervence reflektují. Tedy jak je vnímají, zpracovávají a jak se z nich dokážou poučit pro obdobné situace v budoucnosti. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení tří základních pojmů- reflexe, sociální práce s rodinami s dětmi a nezdařená intervence. Metodologická část popisuje použitou strategii výzkumu- polostrukturovaný rozhovor v rámci kvalitativního výzkumu, proces sběru dat, výběru respondentů a ostatních aspektů výzkumu. V interpretační části odpovídám na jednotlivé dílčí výzkumné otázky a s jejich pomocí poté i na hlavní výzkumnou otázku. Z výsledků vyplývá, že sociální pracovníci spatřují nezdařenou intervenci v intervenci, kdy špatně zareagují na potřeby klientů, nebo pokud klient odmítá spolupracovat. Reflexe pak probíhá nejčastěji po setkání s klientem za pomoci sdílení s kolegy, nebo později se supervizorem.

Abstract:

The Master ´s thesis is aimed to reflection of failed interventions to the life situation of families with children. The mail goal of thesis is to find out what social workers consider as a failed intervention, and how they reflect such interventions. So how workers perceive and process these interventions and how they can get more information for similar situations in the future. The theoretical part focuses on three basic topics- the reflection, the social work with families and children and failed intervention. The methodological part describes used strategy of research- semi-structured interview within qualitative research, process of data collection, choice of respondents and other aspects of research. In the empirical part, I answer to partials research questions and then I answer the main research question with the aid of answers of partials research questions. The results show that social workers see failed interventions in the intervention, if they poorly respond to clients' needs, or if the client refuses to cooperate. Reflection then takes place mostly after meeting with the client by sharing with colleagues or later with a supervisor.
