Teaching of financial literacy in basic mathematical education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Výuka finanční gramotnosti v základním vzdělávání“ se zabývá výukou finanční gramotnosti na 2. stupni základní školy. Práce předkládá argumenty podporující důležitost finanční gramotnosti a potřeby zařazení její výuky již do základního vzdělávání. V první části se práce zabývá pojmem finanční gramotnost a zároveň jsou zde uvedeny i další pojmy, které s ní souvisí. Jedna kapitola se věnuje i výuce finanční gramotnosti žáků se specifickými poruchami učení. Dále jsou uvedeny výsledky několika výzkumů, týkajících se úrovně finanční gramotnosti obyvatel České republiky. V další části je vytvořen soubor pracovních listů, který se skládá vždy z teorie patřící k danému tématu a z pracovního listu, který je k dispozici včetně výsledků a metodických poznámek pro učitele. Soubor pracovních listů je možné využít při výuce finanční matematiky nebo k rozvoji finanční gramotnosti žáků na základní škole. Závěrem je popsáno, jak probíhala realizace výuky finanční gramotnosti na konkrétní základní škole s využitím některých předložených pracovních listů. Jsou zde uvedeny ukázky práce samotných žáků a komentáře k některým pracovním listům od žáků, ale i učitelů, kteří měli možnost pracovní listy ve výuce použít.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "Teaching of financial literacy in basic mathematical education" deals with the teaching of financial literacy during primary school education. The thesis presents arguments supporting the importance of financial literacy and the necessity to include its teaching in basic education. In the first part, the thesis deals with the concept of financial literacy together with other concepts that are related to it. One chapter also deals with the teaching of financial literacy of pupils with specific learning disabilities. The following are the results of several researches on the levels of financial literacy of the population of the Czech Republic. In the next part, a set of worksheets is created, which always consists of the theory belonging to the topic and the worksheet, which is available, including the results and methodological notes for teachers. The set of worksheets can be used to teach financial mathematics or to develop the financial literacy of primary school pupils. Finally, it describes how the implementation of teaching financial literacy at a particular school using some of the submitted worksheets. The thesis contains examples of the work of the pupils and also their comments on some worksheets. This thesis also contains few comments from teachers who had the opportunity to use the worksheets in teaching.
