Repatriation of Patients

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je svou metodickou povahou kompilační teoreticko-empirickou prací, zaměřenou na problematiku zdravotnických repatriací. V první, teoretické části předkládané práce je definován repatriační proces a uvádí chronologicky historický přehled vývoje repatriací, navazuje výčtem právních předpisů a norem pro repatriační proces, jež jsou platné v ČR i ve světě. V teoretické části jsou detailně popsány koordinace a postupné kroky tří aktérů repatriačního řetězce: pacienta, pojišťovny a záchranné služby. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, ve které jsou uvedeny kazuistiky. Každá z nich popisuje odlišný typ repatriace, ať už se to týká onemocnění, stavu pacienta, nebo se jedná o odlišnosti ve způsobu přepravy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is a combined theoretical-empirical work focused on the issue of medical repatriation. The first, theoretical part of the thesis sets out the repatriation process and gives a chronological historical overview of the development of repatriation, followed by a list of legal regulations and standards for the repatriation process as applied in the Czech Republic and worldwide. This theoretical part further describes in detail the coordinated and sequential steps involving the three principal stakeholders in the repatriation chain: the patient, the insurance company and the emergency services. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part in which case studies are presented. Each of these describes a different type of repatriation, whether the variable pertains to the nature of the medical emergency, the patient's condition or a difference in the mode of transport.
