Significant Andragogical Personalities in History and Today

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na významné osobnosti z oblasti Andragogiky z historického i současného hlediska. Andragogika je procesem celoživotního vzdělávání a poznávání. Toho si byly vědomy i osobnosti, o kterých tato práce pojednává a proto svými teoriemi, učením, stylem života nebo svými díly a publikacemi přispěly ve velké míře k rozvoji tohoto vědního oboru. Celoživotní vzdělávání vede k širokému rozvoji osobnosti a nemusí být nutně cílem k získání pouhých vědomostí, ale může pomoci začlenit se jedincům do společnosti, získání pracovní pozice, pracovat a rozvíjet vlastní osobnost. Z historického hlediska si můžeme všimnout, že andragogika jako taková zanechala své stopy v mnoha jiných vědních oborech, ať už se jedná o filozofii nebo ranou pedagiku můžeme ji postupně zaznamenat i v oblasti psychologie, antropologie, kulturologie, sociologii apod. Proces celoživotního vzdělávání tedy můžeme chápat jako velmi důležitý aspekt pro chod a fungování lidí ve společnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on important personalities from the field of Andragogy from a historical and contemporary point of view. Andragogy is a process of lifelong learning and cognition. The personalities that this work deals with were also aware of this and therefore, with their theories, teachings, lifestyle or their works and publications, they contributed greatly to the development of this scientific field. Lifelong learning leads to widespread personality development and is not necessarily the goal of gaining mere knowledge, but can help individuals integrate into society, gain employment, work and develop their own personality. From a historical point of view, we can notice that andragogy as such has left its mark in many other disciplines, whether it is philosophy or early pedagogy, we can gradually see it in the field of psychology, anthropology, culturology, sociology, etc. The process of lifelong learning can therefore understood as a very important aspect for the operation and functioning of people in society.
