Abstract Bc. HAMBURGBADŽO, Róbert. Political discourse on migration in Great Britain – imagination and reality. [Master’s Dissertation]. University College Prague – College of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Management and Economics Ltd. Bratislava: 2023. 67 pp In the presented work, we deal with the issue of international migration. The first chapter of the thesis provides the theoretical starting points of the investigated issue in the form of a terminological definition of migration and its basic characteristics. The second chapter of the thesis focuses attention on the issue of international migration and its selected aspects in relation to the European Union, especially Great Britain. The third chapter deals with practical aspects of the issue. The aim of the presented work is to find out the changes in the political discourse in Great Britain between 2012 and 2022. We focus on the analysis of its transformation over time and the possible causes of these changes during the last decade.

University College Prague – Vysoká škola mezinárodních vztahů a Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická, s. r. o. Bratislava : 2023. 67 str. V predkladanej práci sa zaoberáme problematikou medzinárodnej migrácie. Teoretické východiská skúmanej problematiky v podobe terminologického vymedzenia migrácie a jej základných charakteristík poskytuje prvá kapitola práce. Druhá kapitola práce zameriava pozornosť na problematiku medzinárodnej migrácie a jej vybraných aspektov vo vzťahu ku Európskej únii, zvlášť ku Veľkej Británii. Tretia kapitola sa zaoberá praktickými aspektmi problematiky. Cieľom predkladanej práce zistiť zmeny v politickom diskurze vo Veľkej Británii v rokoch 2012 až 2022. Zameriavame sa na analýzu jeho premeny v čase a možné príčiny týchto zmien v priebehu posledného desaťročia.
