The conception of God in the dualistic christian heresies

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá pojetím Boha a dalších částí křesťanské teologie z pohledu velkých heretických hnutí středověku. Stručně charakterizuje hereze v daném období. Poskytuje detailnější informace o vybraných heretických hnutích s důrazem na dualistické pojetí božího stvoření. Velmi okrajově pojednává i o některých dalších méně známých heretických hnutích, která nejsou dualistická, ale pro doplnění celkového náhledu na křesťanskou herezi, jsou důležitá. Text obsahuje i následné porovnání s křesťanskou věroukou a v závislosti na tomto porovnání ukazuje zásadní rozdíly mezi těmito duchovními směry a katolickou teologií respektive církví. Stručně nastiňuje možnosti reakce katolické církve na stále se rozšiřující bogomilsko-katarskou herezi a ohrožení církevní ortodoxie. Mapuje jedinou křižáckou válku vedenou přímo proti hnutí albigenských což bylo dualistické heretické hnutí katarů v oblasti Albi. Následně po zhodnocení ještě stručně pojednává o Inkvizici a inkvizičních tribunálech a jejich omylnosti z důvodu nedotknutelnosti. Tato práce obsahuje i ukázky z pramenného textu jmenovitě Interrogatio Iohannis neboli Otázky Jana Evangelisty, který je ústřední bogomilským náboženským spisem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of God and other parts of Christian theology from the point of view of the great heretical movements of the Middle Ages. It briefly characterizes the heresies in the given period. It provides more detailed information on selected heretic movements with an emphasis on the dualistic concept of God's creation. It also deals with some of not so much known heretic movements, which are not dualistic but are important to complement the overall view of Christian heresy. The text also contains a comparison with Christian doctrine and based on this comparison, is showed the fundamental differences between these spiritual directions and Catholic theology - churches. Thesis briefly outlines the possibilities of the Catholic Church's response to the ever-expanding Bogomil-Cathar heresy and the threat to ecclesiastical orthodoxy. It maps a single Crusader war directed against the Albigensian movement, which was the dualist heretical Cathar movement in the Albi region. Following the evaluation, it briefly discusses the Inquisition and the Inquisition Courts and their misconceptions because of their inviolability. This work also contains examples from a source text, namely Interrogatio Iohannis or Questions by John the Evangelist, which is the central Bogomil religious writings.
