This diploma thesis is focussed on diversions in criminal proceedings, especially on non-popular institute – settlement. The thesis deals with an analysis of legislation of diversions, with the conditions for its aplication, criminology view on althernative ways of criminal proceedings and the role of probation and mediation service in this type of diversions.
