Ostalgie in Contamporary German Literature

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je vysvětlit a zhodnotit význam jednoho z nejdůležitějších témat současné německé literatury - ostalgie. V mé práci jsem se zaměřila na čtyři významná díla, která zasáhla do vývoje současné německé literatury, ale každá jiným způsobem. Soustředila jsem se na to, jak jednotliví autoři zachytili svoje vzpomínky na NDR, na dobu svého dětství, jak odlišně i podobně tuto dobu vnímali a jak se nesmazatelně doba NDR zapsala do jejich životů. V závěru jsem se zaměřila na to, jakému čtenáři je tato literatura určena a proč mohou díla s tématikou nostalgického vzpomínání zaujmout současného čtenáře. V průběhu vypracování práce jsem se potýkala především s nedostatkem sekundární literatury, proto jako jediný zdroj mi sloužil internet a časopis Literaturen.

Abstract:

The main concern of my work is to explain and appraise the meaning of one of the most important subject in the contemprorary German literture - ostalgie. In my work I target the four important works of art that have influenced the progress of the contamporary German literature, but every writing otherwise. I concentrate on how the single authors have taken down their own remembrances of the German democratic republic, of their childhood, how the authors perceive this time at once differently and similarly and how deeply this time branded on their memory and lifes. The end of my work is devoted to the explanation, to what kind of reader this literature is determined and why this works of art with the themes of the nostalgic recollection can hold the contamporary readers interest. In the course of the eleboration of my work I had to face up to the want of the secondary literature, that is why I used as the only source of information the Internet and the magazin Literaturen.
