Use of documentary collection and documentary credit in the corporate practice in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předložená práce je zaměřena na dokumentární inkasa a dokumentární akreditivy, které jsou využívané při zahraničním obchodu. První část práce je zaměřena na definování pojmů dokumentárního inkasa a dokumentárního akreditivu, jejich zakotvení v právní úpravě, určení jejich výhod a nevýhod apod. V druhé části je provedena rozsáhlá analý-za bankovního sektoru se zaměřením na využívání dokumentárního inkasa a dokumen-tárního akreditivu v praxi společně s grafickým zpracováním procesu obou prostředků v praxi v programu Aris Express. Poplatky, které se vztahují k těmto platebním instru-mentům, jsou definovány a analyzovány. Výsledkem práce je zhodnocení provedené analýzy, kde dokumentární akreditiv je spolehlivější platební nástroj v mezinárodním obchodě, ale také dražší oproti dokumentárnímu inkasu. Výstupy práce mohou sloužit všem bankám působících na území České republiky, jako srovnání se s konkurencí.

Abstract:

The presented work is focused on documentary collections and letters of credit, which are used in foreign trade. The first part of the thesis is focused on defining the terms of documentary collection and letter of credit their enshrinement legislation, advantages and disadvantages, and so on. The second part contains an extensive analysis of the banking sector focusing on the use of documentary collection and letter of credit in practice, including graphical representation of the process of both resources in practice - creating in Aris Express. Fees related to these payment instruments are defined and ana-lyzed. The result of the work is an evaluation of the analysis, where a documentary letter of credit is a more reliable payment instrument in international trade, but also more expensive than a documentary collections. The outputs can serve all banks operating in the Czech Republic, as a comparison with the competition.
