The ethical heritage in the late work and the actions of Jan Patočka

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na výklad pojetí etických hodnot dle českého filosofa Jana Patočky. Téma etiky úzce souvisí se základními koncepty Patočkovy filosofie těmi jsou například tři pohyby lidské existence, antické dědictví péče o duši či doba poevropská nesoucí v sobě sociální a morální krizi lidské bytosti. Přesto však Jan Patočka nikdy nevytvořil celistvý etický koncept, v němž by se věnoval morálce, svobodě, svědomí a jiným eticky podstatným hodnotám. Cílem této práce je zkompletovat právě ty Patočkovy názory, které se etiky a jejích hodnot týkají. Výklad je opřen o pozdní dílo a činy Jana Patočky (zde především o aktivní působení v Chartě 77) a následně také o interpretaci v sekundární literatuře či dílech jiných na Patočku navazujících filosofů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the interpretation of the concept of ethical values of the Czech philosopher Jan Patočka. The topic of ethics is closely related to the basic concepts of Patočka's philosophy these are, for example, three moves of human existence, an ancient heritage of soul care, or a post-European time, which carries a social and moral crisis of a human being. Nevertheless, Jan Patočka never created a holistic ethical concept in which he would devote to morality, freedom, conscience and othe ethically essential values. The aim of this thesis is to compile exactly the Patočka´s opinions about ethics and its values. The interpretation is supported on the Jan Patočka´s late work and actions (here in particular the active involvement in Charta 77) and then on the interpretation of secondary literature or on other works Patočka´s follow-up philosophers.
