Mýty o potopě na starověkém Předním východě a v Řecku

Floodmyths in Ancient Near East and Greece
Abstract:
Práce mapuje motiv potopy a jeho proměny v mytologiích starověkého Předního východu a Řecka. Důraz je kladen na zpracování mýtu o potopě v Eposu o Gilgamešovi a v hebrejské Bibli. Práce poskytuje přehled jednotlivých mýtů, srovnání jednotlivých epizod a srovnání rozdílného pojetí této tradiční mytické látky v různých kulturních, náboženských a časových souvislostech.
Abstract:
We examine the floodmyth tradition and its alterations in the Near Eastern a Greek mythology. We concentrate on floodmyths incorporated in the Gilgamesh Epic and in the Hebrew Bible. We give an overview of floodmyths and compare separate scenes as well as different interpretations of this traditional myth in distinct cultural, religious and time contexts.
