Abstract:

Práce Base Theodosiova obelisku v Konstantinopoli a dvorská etiketa v Pozdní Antice je zaměřená na popis a vývoj dvorské etikety a ceremonií v přítomnosti imperátora v pozdní antice na základě vyobrazení na Theodosiově missoriu a basi Theodosiova obelisku v hipodromu v Konstantinopoli Práce se zabývá popisem a interpretací dvou z nejvýznamnějších uměleckých děl pozdního císařství a popisem císařského dvora, jeho funkce a nejvyšších státních funkcí, stejně jako jejich vývojem a reformám které vedly k jejích vytvoření. Popis dvora a dvorských ceremonií je založen na interpretaci dvou výše zmíněných uměleckých děl.

Abstract:

The final thesis The base of Theodosius's obelisk at Constantinople and court etiquette in Late Antiquity is focused on description and evolution of court etiquette and ceremonies in presence of the Emperoro in late antiquity, based on the depictions on the Missorium of Theodosius and base of the Obelisk of Theodosius in Hippodrom in Constantinople. The thesis deals with description and interpretation of the two of the most important art pieces of the Late Roman Empire and description of imperial court, it´s function and highest state administrative offices, as well as their development and reforms that led to their establishment. Description of the court and it´s ceremonies is based on interpretation of the two art pieces mentioned above.
