Influence of the Unemployment Rate In the Region of Ústí nad Labem on Recruitment and Adaptation Costs and Also on Fluctuation of Employees In a Selected Production Enterprise

Abstract:

Analýza a měření nákladů, vede manažery firem k přijímání lepších rozhodnutí a k porozumění dopadů, které mohou mít vliv na úspěch organizace. V současné době vybraný výrobní podnik nesleduje výši náborových a adaptačních nákladů ve svých interních reportech. Firma také nemonitoruje vliv míry nezaměstnanosti na náklady na přijímání zaměstnanců a dále na fluktuaci. Cílem diplomové práce bylo, zjistit vliv míry nezaměstnanosti v Ústeckém kraji na náborové a adaptační náklady a dále na fluktuaci zaměstnanců ve vybraném výrobním podniku, a to podle typu pracovní pozice. Byl proveden sběr dat z rozmezí let 2012-2017 převážně z interních reportů, účetních výkazů a ze systému SAP sledovaného výrobního podniku a dále z webových stránek Českého statistického úřadu. Data byla vyhodnocena statistickou metodou modelem lineární regrese. Z výsledků regresní analýzy vyplývá, že mezi mírou nezaměstnanosti v Ústeckém kraji a výší celkových náborových a adaptačních nákladů, a dále mírou fluktuace zaměstnanců pracujících na dělnických pozicích existuje statistická závislost. Ve vybraném období při snižující se míře nezaměstnanosti sledované náklady a fluktuace rostly. Dále z výsledku vyplynulo, že neexistuje statistická závislost mezi mírou nezaměstnanosti a sledovanými proměnnými u technicko-hospodářských pracovníků. Po zjištění statistické závislosti vlivu míry nezaměstnanosti na sledované proměnné bude podnik moci na základě doporučeného postupu, který byl užit v diplomové práci, sledovat lépe svoji strukturu nákladů na adaptaci a nábor zaměstnanců. Ve svých strategických plánech může sledovaný podnik lépe odhadnout velikost tvorby rezerv, které se budou čerpat v závislosti na vlivu míry nezaměstnanosti.

Abstract:

Analyzing and measuring costs leads company managers to make better decisions and understand the impacts that can affect an organization's success. Currently, the selected production company does not monitor the amount of recruitment and adaptation costs in its internal reports. The company also does not monitor the effect of the unemployment rate on the hiring costs and turnover rate of employees. The aim ot the diploma thesis was to find the impact of the unemployment rate in Ústí nad Labem region on recruitment, adaptation costs and on turnover of employees in the selected manufacturing company with division based on job type. The data was collected retrospecitvely for period 2012-2017 mainly from internal reports, financial statements and from the SAP of the selected manufacturing company and from the website of the Czech Statistical Office. The collected data was evaluated by the linear regression model. The results of the regression analysis revealed that the unemployment rate in the Ústí nad Labem region had an impact on the overal recruitment and adaptation costs as well as on the turnover rate of the blue collar employees. In the choosen period during the decline of the unemployment rate the costs of emplyment and fluctuation increased. Furthermore, the result showed that there is no dependency between the unemployment rate and the variables for the white collar workers. After derermining of the dependance of the effect of the unemployment rate on the variables, the company will be able to follow the recommended procedure used in the diploma thesis to monitor the structure of the recruitment and adaptation costs better. Company can have more precise estimation regarding the creation of reserves in its strategic plans, based on the impact of the unemployment rate to recruitment and adaptation costs.
