„(Let) History repeat itself“: analysis of Whitechapel’s poetics
Abstract:
Bakalářská diplomová práce, analyticky vychází z poetiky seriálové fikce představené Radomírem D. Kokešem. Analýza britského kriminálního seriálu Whitechapel, vychází z hlavního předpokladu, a to že seriál balancuje na pomezí mezi klasickými (někdy nazývány jako „Zlatý věk“) a soudobými kriminálními seriály. Práce se na poli tří kapitol pokouší tento předpoklad prokázat.
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis is analytically based on the poetics of fiction series presented by Radomír D. Kokeš. The analyses of British criminal TV series Whitechapel is based on the main assumption, that series balanced between classical (sometimes denoted as a “Golden age”) and contemporary criminal series. All three analytical chapters deal with this main assumption.
