Zámerom tejto práce je navrhnúť a implementovať aplikáciu, ktorá načíta a rozdelí model v STL formáte, pričom používateľ má možnosť zvoliť ľubovoľný rez v podobe reznej roviny. Rozdelené časti je následne možné exportovať späť do STL formátu. V texte najskôr uvádzam motiváciu a stručný prehľad podobných programov, ich výhody a nevýhody.
