Mental Health Problematics among Pregnant Women

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jaké je prožívání subjektivní pohody a stresu žen v těhotenství. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo dohromady 163 respondentek. Výzkumné šetření probíhalo od června do července roku 2024. Ke sběru dat byl použit standardizovaný dotazník a jedna škála. Dotazník Pregnancy - Relaxed anxiety Questionaire je zaměřený na emoční vazbu matky k dítěti. Druhý dotazník - Škála subjektivní emocionální pohody, je zaměřená na subjektivní emocionální pohodu - pozitivní pocity, negativní pocity. Výsledky: Analýzou výzkumu nebyl zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl v míře obav z porodu z hlediska jednotlivých trimestrů těhotenství. Nebyl zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl míry obav o zdravotní stav z hlediska jednotlivých trimestrů těhotenství. Nebyl zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl v míře prožívání pozitivních, nebo negativních emocí z hlediska věku respondentek. Byl zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl míry prožívání negativních emocí v rámci jednotlivých trimestrů těhotenství, ale nebyl zjištěn v prožívání pozitivních emocí. Závěr: Důležité je sledovat subjektivní pocity ženy v těhotenství a naslouchat jí. Každá žena vnímá svůj strach jinak i vlivem jednotlivých trimestrů těhotenství.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how women experience subjective well-being and stress during pregnancy. Methodology: The research group consisted of a total of 163 female respondents. The research survey took place from June to July 2024. A standardized questionnaire and one scale were used to collect data. the Pregnancy - Relaxed Anxiety Questionnaire is focused on the mother's emotional bond with the child. The second questionnaire - Scale of emotional habitual subjective well-being, is focused on subjective emotional well-being - positive and negative feelings. Results: The analysis of the research did not reveal a statistically significant difference in the level of anxiety about childbirth from the point of view of individual trimesters of pregnancy. There was no statistically significant difference in the level of concern about the health status from the point of view of the individual trimesters of pregnancy. There was no statistically significant difference in the rate of experiencing positive or negative emotions in terms of the age of the respondents. A statistically significant difference was found in the rate of experiencing negative emotions within the individual trimesters of pregnancy, but not in the experience of positive emotions. Conclusion: It is important to monitor the subjective feelings of a woman during pregnancy and to listen to her. Each woman perceives her fear differently, also due to the influence of individual trimesters of pregnancy.
