Resumé Tato diplomová práce se zabývá formální a tématickou analýzou pojetí témat identity a ztráty ve filmech kanadského filmového režiséra Atoma Egoyana. Pro tyto účely byly vybrány tři Egoyanovy filmy reprezentující jednotlivá období režisérovy kariéry, konkrétně Family Viewing (1987), The Sweet Hereafter (1997) a Where the Truth Lies (2005).
