Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce s názvem “Harry Potter a prokleté dítě – překlad a nalýza scénáře” se zabývá překladem a analýzou scénáře k nové divadelní hře Harry Potter a prokleté dítě, jež byla napsána na základě původního příběhu o Harry Potterovi. Autory této hry jsou J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany a Jack Thorne. Cílem této diplomové práce je vytvoření vlastního překladu scénáře, který je založem na původním světě Harrho Pottera, který byl do českého jazyka přeložen bratry Medkovými. Nedílnou součástí práce je porovnání oficiálně vydaného českého překladu této hry, vytvořeným Petrem Eliášem, s překladem vloženým v praktické části této práce. Cílem této práce je porovnání mnoha aspektů a přístupů, kterými různí překladatelé přistupují k samotnému překladu nového typu příběhu o Harrym Potterovi, tj. divatelnímu scénáři. V praktické části je původní scénář přeložen autorkou této práce. Teoretická část práce se zabývá porovnáním nového a orifiálně vydaného českého překladu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis titled “Harry Potter and the Cursed child – Translation and Analysis of the Script” deals with translation and analysis of the script of a new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which was based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne. The aim of this thesis is to create a personal translation of the script based on the original world of Harry Potter translated into Czech by the Medek brothers, and furthermore to contrast it to the official Czech translation by Petr Eliáš, in order to compare how various translators deal with the new style of Harry Potter story, i.e. the form of a script. In the practical part, the script is translated by the author of the thesis, with the condition of the author not having read the official Czech translation. In the theoretical part, the analysis is concerned with comparison of the author`s translation and the official Czech translation.
