Dynamics of manganese content in assimilation apparatus of white birch (Betula pendula Roth) and European larch (Larix decidua Mill.)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na stanovení obsahu manganu a jeho akumulace v asimilačních orgánech břízy bělokoré (Betula pendula Roth), modřínu opadavého (Larix decidua Mill.) a brusnice borůvky (Vaccinium myrthillus L.). Analýzy byly prováděny pomocí indukčně vázané plazmatické optické emisní spektroskopie (ICP-OES) a rentgenové fluorescenční spektroskopie (XRF). Práce je založena na třech souborech dat. (1) Dynamika akumulace manganu byla sledována na trvalé výzkumné ploše Litvínov v průběhu let 2016 - 2019, kde se prováděl pravidelný měsíční odběr a následná analýza Mn v asimilačních orgánech břízy, modřínu a brusnice. Naměřené hodnoty Mn prokázaly, že jeho obsah roste v asimilačním aparátu sledovaných druhů v průběhu vegetačního období. (2) Analýza vybraných prvků (Mn, Ca, Mg, K) se uskutečnila v listech břízy a ve vzorcích půdy odebraných u těchto stromů v širším území východního Krušnohoří. Analýzou obsahu Mn, Ca, Mg a K metodou ICP-OES v listech břízy byl hledán vztah mezi uvedenými prvky při příjmu manganu. (3) Byly prováděny XRF analýzy obsahu Mn, Ca a K v Ah horizontu půdy na stejných lokalitách, na jakých byly sledovány meziprvkové vztahy v listech břízy. Bylo zjištěno, že vstup Mn do listů břízy je vyšší na některých krušnohorských lokalitách přesto, že v Ah horizontu nejsou vysoké obsahy celkového Mn. V listech břízy byl stanoven antagonistický vztah mezi obsahem Mn a Mg a potvrzen byl vliv Ca na vstup Mn do listů. Extrémní obsahy Mn v listech rostlin na trvalé ploše Litvínov jsou důsledkem specifického složení půdy (nižší obsah Mg, nikoli vyšší obsah Mn v půdě).

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the determination of manganese content and its accumulation within the assimilation organs of white birch (Betula pendula Roth), European larch (Larix decidua Mill.) and blueberry (Vaccinium myrthillus L.). The analysis was performed by using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). The work is based on following three data sets. (1) The dynamics of the accumulation of manganese were supervised at the long-term scientifical location Litvínov during the period 2016 - 2019, where in the period of month took place, the consumption followed by an analysis of Mn from the inside of assimilation organs of the silver birch, deciduous larch, and European blueberry. The measured values of Mn proofed that the content of its particles increases in the assimilation organs during the period of growing season. (2) The analysis of the chosen particles (Mn, Ca, Mg, K) were participated within the leaves of birch and the sample of soil that were taken next to those trees in the wider area of eastern Ore Mountains. The analysis of Mn, Ca, Mg and K by the method of ICP-OES within the leaves of birch were meant for searching the correlation among the given particles during the gain of manganese. (3) During the process were done the XRF analysis of the content of Mn, Ca and K in Ah horizon of soil in the same locations in which were tracked interelemental linkage within the leaves of birch. It was detected that the input of Mn inside of the leaves is higher on some parts of Ore Mountains even though that in the Ah horizons is not the high content of manganese ratio. Within the leaves of birch was specified antagonistic linkage between the content of Mn and Mg and validated the influence of Ca on the input of Mn into the leaves. The extremic contents of Mn within the leaves of the flowers at the long-term location Litvínov are the consequences of specific composition of soil (the lower content of Mg, not denser content of Mn in soil).
