Inteligent grafical display for the measurement control unit

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a realizací inteligentního displeje pro měřicí ústřednu, jehož klíčovou vlastností je nízká spotřeba. Teoretická pasáž čtenáře seznamuje se základními parametry měřicí ústředny pro sledování geofyzikálních veličin, jako je teplota nebo seismický otřes. Grafický displej je stěžejním prvkem této práce. Proto odstavce teoretické části obsahují popis různých technologií displejů a zhodnocení jejich výhod a nevýhod. Dále se věnuje procesoru typu ARM, jsou popsány jeho základní parametry a komunikace s okolními perifériemi, především s grafickými displeji. Hlavním tématem praktické části je tvorba prototypu inteligentního zobrazovače s nízkou spotřebou elektrické energie. Nejdříve je naprogramována vývojová deska včetně komunikačních periferií, jako je zvolený displej, maticová klávesnice a komunikační rozhraní EIA-485. Celý program je vytvořen v softwaru Keil uVision, v jazyce C. Následně je navržena deska plošných spojů v prostředí Altium Designer. Nakonec je provedeno oživení vytvořeného prototypu a změřena jeho spotřeba.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with design and realization of the intelligent display for measuring unit, whitch key feature is low power consumption. The theoretic passage introduces main parameters of measuring motherboard for monitoring geophysical quantities like the temperature or seismic shock. The graphic display is the main topic of this work. Therefore, paragraphs of the theoretical part contain a description of various display technologies and evaluation of their advantages and disadvantages. In the last chapter ARM processor with his main parameters and peripheral communications , mainly graphics displays. The main topic of the practical part is the design of an intelligent display prototype with low power consumption. Firstly, the development board is programmed, including communication peripherals such as the selected display, matrix keyboard, and RS485 communication interface. The whole program is created in Keil uVision software, in C language. Subsequently, the printed circuit board is designed in Altium Designer. Finally, the prototype is revived and its consumption measured.
