The actions of Trans-governmental networks in implementing the principle of non-refoulement (in Europe)

Abstract:

The actions of Trans-governmental networks in dealing with various crises have been a subject to intellectual scrutiny. Despite these efforts, the actions of Trans-governmental networks in implementing the principle of non-refoulement in the face of the current refugee crisis have not been established. This study described the actions of Trans-governmental networks in implementing the principle of non-refoulement in Europe.To fully unpack the actions of Trans-governmental networks in implementing the principle of non-refoulement, it explained how Trans-governmental networks bargain through negotiating strategies and making coalitions when implementing the principle of non-refoulement; thereby understanding the performing strategies of Trans-governmental in implementing the principle of non-refoulement. It was grounded in a qualitative methodology with a semi structured interviews used to gather data with the purposive sampling technique used to select the participants. The Actor Network Theory underpinned this study.
