Ecoturism - the case study of czech and british companies in the ecoturism bussiness

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá vymezením problematiky ekoturismu, na kterou nahlíží z mnoha jejích klíčových aspektů. Definuje, co je to ekoturistika, jaký je její historický vývoj, kdo jsou ekoturisté a jaké jsou jejich primární motivace k tomuto druhu cestovního ruchu. Na základě ekonomických, marketingových,managementových a politických aspektů se snaží přiblížit aplikaci ekoturismu v praxi a zhodnotit, jaké jsou její dopady. Jsou zde charakterizovány a analyzovány britské a české cestovní kanceláře poskytující ekoturistické služby s cílem zjistit, jak se liší jejich nabídka v podmínkách Velké Británie, kde je ekoturismus zavedený druh cestovního ruchu, a v podmínkách České republiky, kde se tento druh cestovního ruchu teprve rozvíjí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of ecotourism. This issue is described in many of its key aspects. It defines what ecotourism is, what its historical development is, who the ecotourists are and what their primary motivation for this kind of tourism is. On the basis of economic, marketing, management and political aspects it tries to approach an application of ecotourism in use and evaluates what its impacts are. In this thesis the British and Czech travel agencies, which provide ecotourism services, are characterized and analyzed. This thesis tries to find out how offer of British and Czech travel agencies differs in Great Britain, where the ecotourism is famous kind of tourism, and in the Czech Republic, where this kind of tourism is still developing.
