Support of brownfields utilization in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem brownfields v České republice. Cílem práce je ověřit, zda je v České republice dostatečná ekonomická a právní podpora k regeneraci brownfields a k opětovné investiční činnosti na těchto nemovitostech. V první části práce jsou vymezeny pojmy a nastíněny koncepce, se kterými je možné se potkat při řešení problematiky brownfields. Druhá část práce představuje různé limitace, jejichž změnou či odstraněním je možné zefektivnit využívání brownfields v duchu strategie udržitelného rozvoje. Následuje analýza stávajícího stavu ekonomické podpory obnovy brownfields v České republice. Dále jsou představeny příklady úspěšných a neúspěšných pokusů o nové využití brownfields. V závěrečných kapitolách jsou vyhodnoceny mezitímní závěry ve vzájemných souvislostech a zhodnoceno naplnění hypotézy o nedostatku regulativní podpory a finanční podpory pro regeneraci či revitalizaci brownfields v České republice.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with phenomenon of brownfields in the Czech Republic. The principal aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether there is an efficient economical and legal support for recovery of brownfields (including new investments into these realties) in the Czech Republic. The first part involves analysis of the term “brownfield(s)” and presents theoretical conceptions regarding brownfields classification. In the second part the attention is paid to various limitations which should be changed or abolished in order to make further use of brownfields more efficient in accordance with sustainable development strategy. The next part analyses (above all) the state of economical support of brownfields recovery in the Czech Republic and then are presented chosen real cases of successful and unsuccessful recoveries of brownfields. Finally the presumption of a shortage of regulatory and financial support for brownfields recovery in the Czech Republic is evaluated.
