The Use of Bill of Exchange as a Credit and Payment Tool

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the bill of exchange and its use in banking practice in commercial and business relationships. The research is divided into three chapters. The first chapter explains a bill of exchange as a security and provides general information on its use. The second chapter analyzes the possibilities of bills of exchange in conditions of Eximbank SR and its banking activities during the years 2009 - 2011. The third chapter provides some examples of the particular uses of a bill of exchange in banking activities generally. The aim of work is to introduce options of bill of exchange as a tool of payment and credit to the public and to analyze use of bill of exchange for export promotion in conditions of Eximbank.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá zmenkou a jej využívaním v bankovej praxi, v obchodných a podnikateľských vzťahoch. Práca je rozdelená na tri kapitoly. Prvá kapitola približuje zmenku ako cenný papier a prináša všeobecné informácie o využívaní zmenky. Druhá kapitola analyzuje možnosti využitia zmenky v podmienkach Eximbanky SR pri bankových činnostiach v rokoch 2009 – 2011. Tretia kapitola prináša niektoré príklady konkrétneho využívania zmenky pri bankových činnostiach. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je priblížiť verejnosti možnosti využitia zmenky ako platobného a úverového nástroja, analýza využívania zmenky na podporu exportu v podmienkach Eximbanky.
